My old 'hardwired' rear-facing camera in my motorhome was replaced. Before installing, it was easy to test out the new camera using the included cigarette lighter socket adaptor. A single cable bundle contained several wires in the previous camera cable. I disconnected the old cable and connected the monitor and camera to 12V using the two Power conductor cables. (Included are basic wire splices!) The new monitor fitted into the bracket of the old one. Although it is slightly smaller than the previous model, the new camera offers a noticeably better image. After slightly bending the sides (by 0.1"), it fit the current mount (????). The original camera's cover plate and camera shell separated by a tiny space (around 0.1"). To seal the opening, I adhered a piece of 1/2" thick foam to the cover plate using glue. This device is quite simple to use, and the high-resolution image is excellent. I selected a second camera from their selection of complimentary gifts. Two days later, on the day before my vacation, it arrived. I therefore ran out of time to install it. Make sure the headlights on your automobile are on. When we turned on our headlights, our camera immediately started to function even though it wasn't initially working with only the auto or running lights. The wiring is already preinstalled by Furrion. Although the free adaptor and pigtail were received, they didn't function when we connected them in. Now, this might have happened if our headlights hadn't been on. We ended up hardwiring it in because we were unaware of that at the time. We continued to utilize the adaptor and left the Furrion shark fin bracket in place. Because the wiring was already installed, hardwiring was a breeze. It was helpful that we viewed several videos on setting up backup cameras. Ensure that the antennas are installed. There was a lag when we tested them without the antennae (there are instructions on how to test it before actually installing it and I would recommend it), but the lag disappeared as soon as we installed the antennas. Although we haven't driven it yet, we are happy with it thus far. The customer service was excellent as they promptly supplied the pigtail and adapter.

Thus, let me begin by stating that this is an excellent product. The customer service that is offered is even better! It says in the description that they will give you a mount for a Furion camera system that is already wired. They provided me the bracket for the camera attachment because my 2018 Forest River Vibe camper had such a setup. In order for me to mount the display unit to the windshield, they also supplied me a suction cup mount. They gave me a longer antenna right away when I started experiencing some minor display problems while traveling on the interstate. I can't say enough about how well they handled everything. The camera is next. This wireless setup operates without a hitch! You do not need to pair the camera and display at first because they are already connected. It's a fantastic spectacle. There is no picture clearer than this one. This is a highly recommended wireless system if you're in the market for one.
