I'm not sure how well it performs at 2.5 Gbps because I only use it for 1 Gig at the time, but cat 6 is expected to leave that option available in the future. It has withstood my attempts to remove the plug in order to drag it through an obstacle and to install a new RJ45 connector. After taking a peek inside, I saw that it is a cat 6 device because it has the typical thin plastic cross-shaped wire pair divider. Unshielded, the cable sleeve has a cheap, plastic straw-like texture rather than the thicker, rubbery texture of higher-end materials. It's OK for the job, but I wouldn't trust it to withstand heavy wear and tear or to be underfoot—not that it's plenum rated, anyhow. My bits are delivered, no issues, for less than twenty dollars.

Even though it's not very long, I bought it so that I could connect my smart TV to my gigabit switch (Google Fiber) directly because the wi-fi connection on my smart TV was acting up. This would be plenty to connect your PC and router comfortably. It seems to be fairly sturdy, and despite the fact that I have two cats, they haven't even tried to chew through it, so obviously cats aren't attracted to it. Since hard wire my TV to my switch (I have too many connections to connect straight to the router), I haven't seen any connectivity problems. Straight out of the box, everything worked! Recommend!
